World of Warcraft gold limit reached at 214,748 gold, 36 silver, 48 copper
World of Warcraft players have discovered that there’s a limit on how much gold you can carry in the game. Apparently the money cap amount is at: 214,748 gold, 36 silver, 48 copper. After you reach that amount, you’ll no longer be able to receive money from any source in the game and you’ll get a warning message saying “At gold limit” as the above screenshot shows.
It turns out the player is the guild leader of one of the world’s top 10 World of Warcraft guilds and can make as much as 1000′s of gold each week, so it’s no wonder he could save up this much. After doing some looking, World of Warcraft gold research shows those 214,000 gold on an American server could be worth anywhere from $11,000 to $55,000! — Via WOWinsider
