Soul Calibur V possible? Soul Calibur IV director answers that and more in a video interview

Soul Calibur IV director, Katsutoshi Sasaki, talks about what’s new to the fighting game in the following CES 2008 video interview.

He justifies the Star Wars additions of Darth Vader and Yoda because the creators thought the players would enjoy it. He even answers whether or not this the final Soul Calibur and says if there’s demand that Soul Calibur V or another game in the series is possible.

We Need More Soul Calibur. Number 4 is amazing i don’t like console specifics though not having Yoda makes me sad. Just because i didn’t want to buy a system that blows up doesn”t mean i shouldn’t get all aspect of the game right?

Don’t worry John, you’re not missing out one bit with not having Yoda. All he does is piss me off because he is so short that I can’t hit him with high moves. It’s frustrating.

I hope that Soul Calibur V is already in development, and that it will have a better online mode that somehow stops spammers from doing the same move over and over again.

Darius, you can always make them on character creation, if you’re too lazy to figure it out yourself check it out on youtube, there’s some good videos of it there

I have to say that I have ben a SC fan since ps1 with soul edge and now I have play also the dream cast and the 2 in PS2 and now the SC4 for PS3, I am sorry since I am not against SC but I think that SC4 was some sort of joke, character creation is awasome and graphics are not bad but SC 3 and dreams was where more serius and 18 years old over, now the SC4 dosent feel in that way, I have always think of my self as a Fan but with SC4, I was sad. I regret to purchase the limited edition though…

Im totally agree, Ryunokiba. SC4 is a wonderful game as beat ‘em up, but as Soul Calibur sucks BADLY. I mean, c’mon, even Soul Calibur III or II has so far more options and game modes.

There’re not options or new game modes (actually some of them, the majority, has been removed) there’re some bad-clones (Astaroth and Rock, Cassandra and Sophitia, etc…) The SW characters are horrible, the character creation lacks in some important stuff and a lot of items from SCIII has been removed, the music is so far worse than any other SC game, there’re not enough challenges or secret to unlock, Online Game mode has some important issues, 1 player game modes are just sad (Story mode is not an story at all, character’s endings are terrible…) and so on…

This last SC fails drastically…As game it’s ok, but as SC game, it’s the black sheep of the “family”

You guys are crazy! The game is awsome! The limited editionm is cool be cuz you get more than just a game. But, the characters like yoshimitsu,Zasalamel, and even Lizardman, should really be taken out!

Are u kidding this is the most awesome game ever. If u think this game is bad then try comparing SC with tekken or dynasty warriors m8’s i hope SC V is out Love it!!!
