Bite-size PSP games coming to the PlayStation Store

PSP 2000 Console - Piano BlackJohn Koller, senior product manager for the PSP, gave an update about the company’s portable game plans at CES 2008. They want to tie the PSP in with the recently launched PC version of the PlayStation Store, which is meant for PSP owners without a PS3 to gain access to the store. This brought up an interesting prospect.

To quote: “We have an opportunity to bring bite-size experiences to the [PSP] system, ten minute, pick up and play content that can be downloaded from the store.

He then talked about more PSone games coming to the PlayStation Store by saying: “retailers aren’t interested in carrying [them] at this stage, games that we hear a lot of demand from PSP owners — titles like Wipeout, Twisted Metal — gamers who say ‘I want to play this’ but can’t find it at retail anymore,” quotes Kotaku.
