Half-Life 2: The Orange Box’s Portal first-person puzzle game project lead Kim Swift has stated that future Portal developments will depend on the community’s reactions, saying, “We’re still playing it by ear at this point, figuring out if we want to do multi-player next, or Portal 2, or release map packs.” She even touched on possible added multiplayer modes in a sequel by saying “but as far as multiplayer goes, we’ve experimented technology-wise in terms of getting it to work, but haven’t really gone into the details of what the gameplay would be like.”
With lots of blog from MTV and at Joystiq asking their readers (the community’s reaction talked about above) whether or not Portal should have a sequel. We thought we should ‘weigh’ in on the question as well by answering loud and clearly “YES! Valve, we do want us some Portal 2!”
After all, if you finished Portal 1, you know that something or someone is “Still Alive”.
Oh and let The Weighted Companion Cube return!
Team and multi player could be great. Opposing forces displacing other players and using the velocity techniques to throw their opponents across the room into pools of acid could be kinda cool.
