PAL regions this week are the first to get Mega Man 2 on NES and Top Hunter on NEOGEO. We’ve included videos of the games for nostalgia’s sake or so you can see if it’s for you. Today the Wii is a year old in PAL regions, by the way.

This week’s new games are:

Mega Man 2 on NESIn Mega Man, Dr. Wily was defeated by Mega Man and thrown in jail. However, soon he escaped and had created eight brand new Robot Masters to help him try again in taking over the world. In Mega Man 2 (priced 500 Wii Points = €5 / £3.75 / AU$7.50) he sets off to stop Dr. Wily from trying to take over the world yet again.

Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy on NEOGEOIn Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy (priced 900 Wii Points = €9 / £9.75 / AU$13.50) you control either Roddy or Cathy (or both simultaneously with a friend), who must traverse across forest, wind, fire and ice worlds to defeat two bosses. The player can pick up weapons or utilize their characters’ retractable arms to defeat enemies and interact with the environment. The player can also shift between two horizontal planes by pressing a button. Look at it like SNK’s “other” Metal Slug-like shoot ‘em up.

Pokemon Snap Pokemon Snap on N64Pokémon Snap (priced 1,000 Wii Points = €10 / £10.83 / AU$15): As one of the most unique games in a renowned series, Pokémon Snap was the first truly 3-D Pokémon game and introduced the phenomenon to the Nintendo 64. Travel to Pokémon Island and meet Professor Oak to begin a safari, taking the best possible photographs of 63 different Pokémon as they exist in the wild, undisturbed by humans. This is not as easy as it sounds—the island has many types of climates and environments to explore, along with secret activities and hidden passages to discover. Plus, some of the Pokémon can be a little shy and won’t pose for the camera unless you tease them with special items. After you’re done, submit one picture of each Pokémon to Professor Oak, and he’ll judge it based on size, pose, technique and number of Pokémon captured. The game was available early worldwide as part of a system update.
