The Orange Box for PS3The Orange Box for Xbox 360
Watch The Orange Box: Half-Life 2 comparison video that pits the new PS3 version Versus the Xbox 360 version. It turns out that the delayed PS3 version is suffering from framerate issues making the game harder to play because of annoying slowdown. Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 (like the PC) version runs smoothly in those same fast paced outdoor sections of the FPS games collection.

What, that’s it? How about intense gameplay? That’s when it counts.

Hi, I noticed that gamesuy.blogspot.com has all your posts copied, and uses them for adsense earnings. May I also copy your entire content to earn some money of my own?

It is intense gameplay that really counts, you are right about that. But there really is NO excuse for the PS3 version to have framerate issues. This is coming from a system that’s supposedly more powerful than the Xbox 360 and yet in the case of Orange Box we got framerate issues, and in the case of Assassin’s Creed the graphics are washed out.

You can chock it up to the PS3 being difficult to develop for, but particularly when the PS3 version is delayed, you’d expect these kinds of issues to be ironed out upon it’s release.

Justice4All: NO of course NOT!

That it true, but I personally blame it on lazy programming/sloppy ports. If CoD4, a game that has much more going on, better graphics, and better multiplayer IMO, I can’t blame the PS3… and since more than a few games that were exclusives were flawless(Ratchet, Uncharted, Motorstorm, Resistance, ect) flawless PS3 first ports (UT III, Virtua Fighter 5) and there is a record of flawless ports TO the PS3 (Rainbow 6 Vegas, Oblivion, in a way CoD4) I can’t say it’s the PS3 being more difficult to program for, it’s like the programmers for CoD4 said: it’s just the allocation of your resources when making a game… they made a simutaneous release because they were console agnostic. Before CoD4 I would have also pinned it in the PS3, but now I accuse programmers not doing their jobs.
