First Street Fighter 4 screenshot reveals a 2.5D fighter
Street Fighter 4‘s graphics are 3D polygonal but the gameplay is strictly 2D, hence it’s a 2.5D fighting game. There will be new moves, locations, and gameplay features, while the standard six button control scheme remains. Ryu and Ken return along with Chun-Li and Dhalsim, but beyond that the character roster is a mystery.
1UP expects the game to appear on Arcade, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but it might as well appear on PC and Wii. Hopefully Capcom will confirm something soon. The January 2008 issue of EGM will have more details.
