Celebrate 2 years of VGB: Win Super Mario Galaxy or Assassin’s Creed!

Update: The winner of our Super Mario Galaxy or Assassin’s Creed competition.

VGB is celebrating its second birthday today! There’s no better way to do this than by giving away a present to a lucky reader.

For the past week we ran a poll in the left menu asking you which of the ten new games listed you’d like to win. In the last four days it was tied between Super Mario Galaxy & Assassin’s Creed and ended up with each getting 22% of the 328 votes. As a result this new competition will give the choice to win one or the other. Welcome to our Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) or Assassin’s Creed (Xbox 360, PS3) competition!

You have a chance to win your game of choice for free until November 30th when the competition ends. The next day we’ll order the game from your local Amazon store.

What do you need to do to win? Answer this question: “What game do you want to win, and why do you want that game?” Leave your comment below, the best answer wins! Also, we are sensitive to bday flattery. Just sayin’.

What are the rules? All you have to do is leave a comment with your answer on this page. Fill out your real email so we can contact you if you win (your email will be invisible to other readers, only the site staff can see it). Also, if you won our previous (Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3) contest, then you cannot enter twice in a row, that wouldn’t be fair to all the other participants. Good luck!

Hey Hey Hey!!! I wanted to stop by VGB because of this awsome competition and to celebrate two years at VGB! Great work on it!

The game I wan’t to win is Super Mario Galaxy (SMG)! As I have heard great things about it, and the comercial for it on T.V. mkes it sound even more exiting! So I have decided to come here and win the prize! Seeing the rules and requierments, I think I can pass! I have a Wii system, and I have never won a single-competition yet! I will now tell you why I want it!!!

I would really wan’t to win SMG for a whole bunch of reasons! One of them is because it is a very popular game, indeed. And also, I am very bored in my life, which reminds me, I don’t have many friends… or a girlfriend… and this feels like the only thing I can do. So can you give pity on me? A helpless old boy? As much as I want to win this, I dare not go to such a level and cheat by looking at the other competitors answers. The only thing I saw was how long and short the answers were while I was scrolling down to make the comment. I wan’t to make this a large and honest comment of why I wan’t this game! The odds of winning the game may be bad because of the other peoples answers and there are two games. But as bad as the odds may be, I will try to win this magnificent prize! So, good luck to me and all other competitors!

Hi i want to win super mario galicxxy. My friends all have it and they make fun of me because i dont have it . I have a wii. The commircials are so cool and my friends say it’s cool. This is my first visit here and i love this! Happy birthday videogamesblogger! I love to play mario! I have like every mario game ever invented except this one. Please pick me to win!

A very happy Birthday to VGB! I am proud to say that I’ve visited this great website for the greater part of the last 1.5 years

and if I were to win, I would love to have AssAssin’s creed for Ps3(region free) and I thats because I looooove how that game looks, and also the environments in the game are very nice! I really want to play that game, I am buying SMG anyways, so even that narrows my choice

“mewtwos” even now you’re lying, because why didn’t you enter twice with the same name if that were true? I’ll tell you why, because you were clearly trying to fool others by using different names to increase your chances of winning, when the competition clearly says you can leave “a comment”, not two and not as many as you want.

Besides, you’re the kid who’s been spamming this blog with your site dozens of times, insulting other commenters without reason, and lied to me via email when I asked you to stop doing that. So we wouldn’t have picked someone who didn’t even apologize for his mistakes as a winner anyway. If you want to sincerely apologize you can email us at videogamesblogger@gmail.com

Hurrah for you and your awesomeness!
There never was another videogames site with your verve, your vim, your… brilliance! (stop me if I’m gushing)

I don’t think any other site can hold a candle to you, and if they tried, well, I bet it’d be a very small, weedy and insignificant whisper of a candle next to the towering inferno of flame that is this excellent blog.

I should love to win Assassin’ Creed. I watched the previews for months and I’m captivated by the medieval sandbox setting! What a refreshing change it would be to put down my lasers and my night vision for now, and instead vault across rooftops in the warm nights, bringing silent billowy death from the shadows. I’m almost climbing out of the window onto the fire escape right now just thinking about it!

I would like to win the Super Mario Galaxy for my daughter who will be receiving a video game system for Christmas this year. I recently got laid off from TWO consecutive jobs and having extra presents under the tree would be awesome groovy and all that stuff.
