Celebrate 2 years of VGB: Win Super Mario Galaxy or Assassin’s Creed!

Update: The winner of our Super Mario Galaxy or Assassin’s Creed competition.

VGB is celebrating its second birthday today! There’s no better way to do this than by giving away a present to a lucky reader.

For the past week we ran a poll in the left menu asking you which of the ten new games listed you’d like to win. In the last four days it was tied between Super Mario Galaxy & Assassin’s Creed and ended up with each getting 22% of the 328 votes. As a result this new competition will give the choice to win one or the other. Welcome to our Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) or Assassin’s Creed (Xbox 360, PS3) competition!

You have a chance to win your game of choice for free until November 30th when the competition ends. The next day we’ll order the game from your local Amazon store.

What do you need to do to win? Answer this question: “What game do you want to win, and why do you want that game?” Leave your comment below, the best answer wins! Also, we are sensitive to bday flattery. Just sayin’.

What are the rules? All you have to do is leave a comment with your answer on this page. Dear VGB,
Happy Birthday.

Since I have super Mario Galaxy in the mail from my folks I’ve come to beg for Assassin’s Creed. There are simply too many reasons to list for why I feel I deserve Assassin’s Creed. I’ve been looking forward to the game for the longest time but as a College kid close to Christmas time I’m flat broke. I know I’m not getting it from my family as I have an extremely small one and they’ve just sent the opposing title. I’d like to say my birthday is coming up but it isn’t although if it makes it any better my girlfriend broke up with me on my last birthday (2 and a half months ago) so that’s sepecial.

I’ve spent the last little while reading all the horrendous reviews for Assassin’s Creed and it lowered my standard of IGN even more so then the low rank they gave Resident Evil 4 initially. I don’t believe in the ratings I’ve read about but I keep going back just to get glimpses of the epic journey.

Another reason I truly deserve the title is that ever since Broken Sword: Shadows of the Templars came out in 1996 from Revolution Studio’s which was all about the crusades, the DaVinci code and other such forms of media only propelled my interest in the area. On top of which Prince of Persia was my favorite game I had for Gamecube.

i would like super mario galaxy for my brother already has assassins creed and i can play it and in this week has bin very upseting for me because my grandad died jutst to days ago so if i could have super mario galaxy it would much apreciated and then i could have and excuse to get a wii thank you for taking the time to read this happy birthday videogamesblog

I would love Assasins Creed as it looks like it is pushing the X-Box into the next gen – next gen………so is a must have for any gaming afficianado!

I really want Super Mario Galaxy as I have saved my Pocket Money for Pokemon Battle it would save Santa Clause some of his pocket money for another little boy to get something for christmas as well

Dear Videogamesblogger (VGB),

Happy Birthday to all of VGB and making some great use out of a website! (sensitive to flattery eh?) I already know this good ol’ website will last until the end of time, for so many reasons! LOL

Why I am visiting this page is for an awsome game (and to celebrate 2 years of VGB )! It is for wii and it is called “Super Mario Galaxy”.

The Story I have went to this gaming place called “Gamerzone” where you can play all the videogames you want for $5 an hour! In a few weeks after it opened to the public, it got a bunch of awsome new games! There was Halo 3, Wii sports, and guitar hero 3. Though there was one, yes, one more new game I just had to play…! That game was Super Mario Galaxy ! I started to play right away as fast as I could to start a new data. As I played for a very looong time, enjoying myself until the game was the only thing I could focus on, I had ran out of minutes for my whole life. Why did I run out of money and minutes for my whole life? Well, it was because I was poor (money related poor) and Gamerzone was a temporary gift for my birthday… As much as i wanted to play Super Mario Galaxy, i couldn’t. Even for my next B-day i can’t go because I have to have a party and can’t waste the party money on Gamerzone. So, after i found the joy of playing the game, i looked all over the internet for a free Super Mario Galaxy. Until I found out the answer was right in front of me, I thought. I saw the public poll on this site, VGB, and saw that there was a competition to see who would win Super Mario Galaxy or Assasin’s Creed. They (as you know) got into a tie, so had to put both up for grabs. And as the odds may be bad, and my answer may be long, i need to win that game. So here i am, ended up on this page, to try to win the ultimate game i have ever seen yet, Super Mario Galaxy! Plus, so I don’t try to waste anything for anybody, I already have a wii, and I didn’t compete in any of the tourements here at all yet! I think I have all of the requierments, and so i wish myself luck to win the game! Good game to everyone here too! Good luck to all!
