Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins (Terminator 4) videogame due summer 2009

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines movieThe Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins (Terminator 4) film and game are scheduled for release in the summer of 2009. The Halcyon Company, a privately funded company who purchased the rights to the Terminator franchise, seeks to resurrect the popular movie in both movie and video game form. The game will appear on all next-generation consoles, so expect it on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC.

Mortiz Borman, the executive producer of T3 and T4, has stated that “With T3, we included many incidental details and plot points that, along with the main narrative, set the stage for an entirely new set of inter-related stories covering the future adventures of John Conner and the Terminators. This new Terminator trilogy will build upon the already huge worldwide Terminator fan base, which was both revitalized and expanded with the global success of T3.”

Former Disney and Bellrock Media exec Peter Levin is heading up Halcyon Games as acting CEO and said “We don’t want the game to be the stepchild to the film. They’re of equal importance, and we want both to be of the same quality and be the same compelling experience.” Vin Diesel’s game production house, Tigon Studios, is joining Levin as vp production. You might know Tigon’s work of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and The Wheelman fame.
