Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 might feature a character creator

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is already talked about by the game’s creators. They mention always listening to fan comments and admit that was the reason why they added online multiplayer on Wii and many more characters in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 after Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on PS2 and Wii. One of the features still missing is a character creator, but that might change in 2008.

To quote Atari producer Donny Clay: “Unfortunately there are some things that are requested by several different fans that we aren’t able to do just yet. For example, one of things we get asked for quite a bit is a completely custom character system from the ground up. Meaning players want to be able to build their own character with their own moves and their own look. This is definitely something I would love to do as well, we just haven’t had the chance to get this into a game yet. Don’t worry though I won’t forget.”

That should come as no surprise since the upcoming Dragon Ball Online MMO game also features a character creator tool that allows you to make your own Saiyan, Human or Namek.

In recent interviews the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 team mentions working on a next-gen game and being a fan of the Xbox 360, so my guess would be that the next DBZ game is coming to not just Wii and PS2, but also Xbox 360 and PS3. Makes sense for them to want to make the graphics look even better and have more online features. Throw in the character creator on top of even more than the 161 characters in the last game and you’ve got yourself Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.

As the official DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi blog says: “When we’re coming up with a new DBZ game, we first think about what the fans on the forums and message boards have been asking about.” So what do you want in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4?

PS: There’s also a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai “Burst Limit” game in development for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Update May 19th, 2009: After 1.5 years of waiting, the first magazine announcement of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 has been revealed in Japan, where the next Tenkaichi game for Xbox 360 and PS3 is titled Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast!

look im just going to say this i love the fact that goku is a good guy but just for a min think about a storyline with kakarote/goku what if he waf as evil as he is good there would be no limit to his power i would love to see how ruthless he would be he would prob be the most feared saiyan in the whole galaxy he would make the saiyans we know of look tame thats the number one thing i would love to see n play n alot of people would like to see to

1 thing that i ask from dbz goku is a good character but i would also like the darker evil side like a saiyan should be if goku is as good as he is how evil would he be as kakarot n they should have a dbz game about kakarots life if he was as saiyan the way the are to be or just add a evil goku with the saiyan tail and also have all the transformations even if he had no transformations he would still be the most fierce saiyan out there out of the saiyans that have come after him

Ok I haven’t read all the Comments so bare with me if I repeart what someones has already said but I really Loved the Free Roam Asspect of Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 2 (Not played Tenkaichi 1) and the fact that with Budokai 3 you played through as a specific Characters and only them, however I also Loved the Depth of the story in Tenkaichi 3 as well as Tenkaichi 3 Battle Style however Felt Tenkaichi 3 rushed through Drangonball & Dragonball GT Sagas a bit too quick.

I think a Game that incoperated the Free Roam Aspect of Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 2 with the Battle Stylings of Tenkaichi 3 and story Depth of Tenkaichi 3.

Then Add more of the Drangball and Dragonball GT Sagas in there

and as a little bonus a few more Character plus how about leting us be able to unlock Items that say allow any saiyan to Transform into any/all Super Saiyan Forms ? just as a little bonus (I think that’d be cool.

Hi there I am a huge fan of the dragon ball z movies and the games, I would like to see a DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 4 with every character seen in the dragon ball z series and the dragon ball series as well as character creations and excellent graphics and effects seen in the movie. Dont make it like ultim ate tenkaiichi where your hardly get to move around and fight, we should be aloud to fly around alot further with many new levels . It will make many fans happy an a enjoyable game to play, I know I wll buy it.

Also new maps (levels) and 3 special moves such as Cell perfect- distructo disk, full power death beam and ultimate- perfect kamehameha. Also

I would Like to see this in 2012 January please make this game for the fans of dbz its been a while and hasnt been made yet, who knows it might become a top game in the world like cod I know i will like Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tekaichi 4 better than every call of duty

PLEASE READ THIS

When is Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4 really coming out I wanted to get it for my birthday in January 2012 if it is coming out. When it does come out I would like to see more characters than Tenkaichi 3 such as garlic juniors bodyguards, Lord slugs Guards, anyone who has guards and every character seen in the dragon ball z series and the whole of Dragon Ball series to be on the game. I am a fan of DBZ and I would like to see better graphics,special effects,bigger explosions, blasts bigger that do imact to the land and make pernament damage to the planet, new mods, online,and able to create characters different types such as Saiyans,Nameks and much more with able to change skin colour and looks.

I really want to see more maps such as going to king Kais planet , heaven, hell and much more also more special attacks such as 3 moves sets E.g kamehamea, death beam, distructo disk then an ultimate.
