Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 1 for PS2Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is already talked about by the game’s creators. They mention always listening to fan comments and admit that was the reason why they added online multiplayer on Wii and many more characters in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 after Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on PS2 and Wii. One of the features still missing is a character creator, but that might change in 2008.

Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for PS2To quote Atari producer Donny Clay: “Unfortunately there are some things that are requested by several different fans that we aren’t able to do just yet. For example, one of things we get asked for quite a bit is a completely custom character system from the ground up. Meaning players want to be able to build their own character with their own moves and their own look. This is definitely something I would love to do as well, we just haven’t had the chance to get this into a game yet. Don’t worry though I won’t forget.”

That should come as no surprise since the upcoming Dragon Ball Online MMO game also features a character creator tool that allows you to make your own Saiyan, Human or Namek.

Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for PS2In recent interviews the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 team mentions working on a next-gen game and being a fan of the Xbox 360, so my guess would be that the next DBZ game is coming to not just Wii and PS2, but also Xbox 360 and PS3. Makes sense for them to want to make the graphics look even better and have more online features. Throw in the character creator on top of even more than the 161 characters in the last game and you’ve got yourself Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.

As the official DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi blog says: “When we’re coming up with a new DBZ game, we first think about what the fans on the forums and message boards have been asking about.” So what do you want in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4?

PS: There’s also a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai “Burst Limit” game in development for PS3 and Xbox 360.

    DBZ Raging Blast Custom Character Feature FTW!!!!!!!!!!

    they really need to add a character creation in the next game and an other thing make the maps bigger so that we can battle not 1on 1 but 2on 2 or 3on 3 that would be very awesome like teaming up

    0k listen when u do an attack lets u kamahamaha when the opposing player dodges it there should be a crater not dust

  • dbz

    if there is no character creation this game is a waste cause if there is no character creation then theres should be at least 200-300 characters not to mention one of my favroute characthers goku jr and vegeta jr they have never been in a game they should be in this one

  • dbz

    after a crater has been made from a blast there should be high smoke surounding the plyers like the real movie

    dbz goku and vegeta jr are characters from 100 yrs after GT and gt might not even be in the game so you know they probleby won’t either.

    @ss5 guy

    even if its a gt charachter its only 2 characters gt has like 20 and so if they put in 2 characters goku jr and vegeta jr then there would be some gt and besides its onlu 2 super saiyans so i think they should cause they said 2 mystery characters brolly ssj3 and vegeta ssj3 but those are made up charachters so then they should put vegeta jr and goku jr both super saiyans so the game would be better

    why dont they just have 162 characters like tenchei 3 and just say they will have the character creations and they will have a totally of 164 characters

  • http://videogameblogger tick

    in tenchei 5 i would like to see trunks super sayian 2and3 and super 17 with his abrosortion powers

    @dbz

    how would adding characters from GT make the game better? Besides from SS4 Goku, and SS4 Vegeta everything else kinda sucked and many people agree.Plus most people probleby don’t know or don’t care about what happened after GT. and plus those two shouldn’t even be able to become SS cuz the saiyan blood line diminishes when ever halfies marry humans hence why pan couldn’t be a SS that would be why it wouldn’t be better they wouldn’t be played that much anyway(except if hercule was in the game then they would be played)

  • dbz

    @ss5 guy

    pan is half saiyan she never found a way to become a ss but goku jr and vegeta jr are better to fight with cause they have never been in a game and ssj4 goku and vegeta are awsome but they don’t want to put ssj4 in the game other wise gogeta would be in it and if they make a character creator we should be able to make our charachters super saiyan 5 and if they put goku jr and vegeta jr ss it would be the start of a new game or possibly a new eppisodes cause goku kid started dragon ball and then goku adult started z and goku gt started gt not y can’t goku jr start af and with goku end or gt to guide him in the episodes or games so it would be better for the dbz fans because goku jr and vegeta jr can start a new show
