Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 might feature a character creator

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is already talked about by the game’s creators. They mention always listening to fan comments and admit that was the reason why they added online multiplayer on Wii and many more characters in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 after Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on PS2 and Wii. One of the features still missing is a character creator, but that might change in 2008.

To quote Atari producer Donny Clay: “Unfortunately there are some things that are requested by several different fans that we aren’t able to do just yet. For example, one of things we get asked for quite a bit is a completely custom character system from the ground up. Meaning players want to be able to build their own character with their own moves and their own look. This is definitely something I would love to do as well, we just haven’t had the chance to get this into a game yet. Don’t worry though I won’t forget.”

That should come as no surprise since the upcoming Dragon Ball Online MMO game also features a character creator tool that allows you to make your own Saiyan, Human or Namek.

In recent interviews the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 team mentions working on a next-gen game and being a fan of the Xbox 360, so my guess would be that the next DBZ game is coming to not just Wii and PS2, but also Xbox 360 and PS3. Makes sense for them to want to make the graphics look even better and have more online features. Throw in the character creator on top of even more than the 161 characters in the last game and you’ve got yourself Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.

As the official DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi blog says: “When we’re coming up with a new DBZ game, we first think about what the fans on the forums and message boards have been asking about.” So what do you want in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4?

PS: There’s also a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai “Burst Limit” game in development for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Update May 19th, 2009: After 1.5 years of waiting, the first magazine announcement of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 has been revealed in Japan, where the next Tenkaichi game for Xbox 360 and PS3 is titled Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast!

I don’t care if they don’t put in the great ape transformations for the other saiyans or even if they keep all those Dragonball characters (excluding Kid Goku and King Piccolo), as long as they have the main sagas, GT, the movies, and some new characters, I’m Good.

I don’t think so. But, she should be in the game. And this game should have a character creator. So yeah, she’s worthless as a human. But, if remade as a female elite saiyan, she’d be worth something.

id add the ginyu force to that list as well and maybe zarbon an dodoria but yea for some reason i dont think that the great ape transformations are gonna be in this time. and i hope they add all the main movie chracters like broly,cooler,bojack and all the other main villains, they dont have to have their henchmen but at least include the main bosses

How about Bulla she is Vegeta’s daughter, and she should have a saga where she fights with Vegeta aganist Baby Gohan, and fight against Super saiyan 3 Goku in GT.

Hi guys, I really want to make another page all about the Dragon Ball: Raging Blast character list, now that we know there will be 70 unique characters in the game.

I saw Vin’s list as a great start for confirmed characters so far. But are DBZRB Fan 3000′s lists real or just likely guesses? I’m asking in case there was some news from Japan that I missed.

Let me know and I’ll get started on it tomorrow. Once that new page is up, I’ll keep that character list page updated for the next half year until release. Should be fun to see who will be in it!

OK. And like I said, I’ll only buy the game, and a PS3 or Xbox 360 only, and I mean ONLY if Videl is in the game with the rest of the characters.

the list that i made is a confirmed list from screenshots and gameplay videos but the list that DBZRB fan made is a list of characters that are most likely gonna be in it based off past games
