Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 1 for PS2Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is already talked about by the game’s creators. They mention always listening to fan comments and admit that was the reason why they added online multiplayer on Wii and many more characters in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 after Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on PS2 and Wii. One of the features still missing is a character creator, but that might change in 2008.

Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for PS2To quote Atari producer Donny Clay: “Unfortunately there are some things that are requested by several different fans that we aren’t able to do just yet. For example, one of things we get asked for quite a bit is a completely custom character system from the ground up. Meaning players want to be able to build their own character with their own moves and their own look. This is definitely something I would love to do as well, we just haven’t had the chance to get this into a game yet. Don’t worry though I won’t forget.”

That should come as no surprise since the upcoming Dragon Ball Online MMO game also features a character creator tool that allows you to make your own Saiyan, Human or Namek.

Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for PS2In recent interviews the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 team mentions working on a next-gen game and being a fan of the Xbox 360, so my guess would be that the next DBZ game is coming to not just Wii and PS2, but also Xbox 360 and PS3. Makes sense for them to want to make the graphics look even better and have more online features. Throw in the character creator on top of even more than the 161 characters in the last game and you’ve got yourself Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.

As the official DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi blog says: “When we’re coming up with a new DBZ game, we first think about what the fans on the forums and message boards have been asking about.” So what do you want in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4?

PS: There’s also a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai “Burst Limit” game in development for PS3 and Xbox 360.

look people who r saying this is coming out in september must dumb if they have seen the gameplay on youtube they would know that developers have alot of stuff to work on like combos, special moves, stages, characters, story mode, online mode, controls, voice acting, graphics, and transformations and i have hope that there will be transformations. and those are the reasons i know it not coming out in september, they said it will either come out in november or march

  • Apeman

March? There’s no way they’re going to take that much time, and put that much effort into that game. They need to sell them off for the holiday season and start work on RB2. $ :D $

We would all be spoiled rotten with a complete product if it came out in March. November is way more likely.

dude its a demo obviously there not gonna release all the charcters they have dont and its been confirmed by multiple websites that this game is due for september 30 so obviously we are going to believe them than a kid with an opinion

  • Apeman

    @Vin

I guess I should have been more specific in my post. By “Complete Product” I meant gameplay, Character Customization AKA Patora rings or a better system. I’m not one of those “kids” that asks for every character DB, DBZ, and GT has to offer. I think you’ve seen to many “Kids” asking for everyone, and I mean everyone in the DB universe.

Maybe you’re right about a September release date. I was hopeing for a later one, because I want the game to be really good and not just half ***** like these developers usually give us before they start on the second one.

I could be wrong and the game could really be that epic, even if it seems like a hurried product.

I hate having to spell stuff like this out so people can understand my opinion. And no, I’m not judging by the demo, I’m judging by the timeframe it takes for great games to be in development. Not many people will agree with me, I have accepted this curse. :(

Yeah, I figured as much only after I posted it, but I didn’t want to double post. Sorry, at least I got you to pay attention to what I was saying. :P

  • http://videogammersblog james4290

it comming out on november 30 because it says on gamefly.com

  • vin

yea james is right it does say that, dam i was hoping that there was not going to be sites with different release dates and they would all stick to one because ign and gamespot say september 30th, guess now we have to wait for an official release statement to get the truth
