Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 might feature a character creator

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is already talked about by the game’s creators. They mention always listening to fan comments and admit that was the reason why they added online multiplayer on Wii and many more characters in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 after Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on PS2 and Wii. One of the features still missing is a character creator, but that might change in 2008.

To quote Atari producer Donny Clay: “Unfortunately there are some things that are requested by several different fans that we aren’t able to do just yet. For example, one of things we get asked for quite a bit is a completely custom character system from the ground up. Meaning players want to be able to build their own character with their own moves and their own look. This is definitely something I would love to do as well, we just haven’t had the chance to get this into a game yet. Don’t worry though I won’t forget.”

That should come as no surprise since the upcoming Dragon Ball Online MMO game also features a character creator tool that allows you to make your own Saiyan, Human or Namek.

In recent interviews the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 team mentions working on a next-gen game and being a fan of the Xbox 360, so my guess would be that the next DBZ game is coming to not just Wii and PS2, but also Xbox 360 and PS3. Makes sense for them to want to make the graphics look even better and have more online features. Throw in the character creator on top of even more than the 161 characters in the last game and you’ve got yourself Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.

As the official DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi blog says: “When we’re coming up with a new DBZ game, we first think about what the fans on the forums and message boards have been asking about.” So what do you want in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4?

PS: There’s also a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai “Burst Limit” game in development for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Update May 19th, 2009: After 1.5 years of waiting, the first magazine announcement of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 has been revealed in Japan, where the next Tenkaichi game for Xbox 360 and PS3 is titled Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast!

Ok let me clear this up for some of you, THERE IS NOT A DRAGONBALL AF, SSJ5 OR 6! GOHAN DOES NOT REACH SSJ4! Now then, Vic-07-Weed brought up alot of good points, many of those chars if not all of them should be characters (esepcially Kid Vegeta, Goku Jr and, Vegeta Jr that would be the SHIT!). They really do need to put in a character creation as well and you should be able to make

saiyans (should be able to go super saiyan)

fusions

and hybrids.

For the 360 and the Wii you should be able to do an online, real time, ACTUAL, World Tournament.

I agree. Saiyans, you can select how high they can go, as well. You should also be able to put in a name for them.

And choose their moves, and who they can fuse with, and many more.

Of course, add in GT chars, DB chars, just nothing outrageous (that includes, but isn’t limited to, Farmer W/Shotgun, Puar, Oolong, Bee, etc. Those people should be purged from the games). I’d also settle for three AF characters, and three AF characters ONLY. SSJ5 Goku, SSJ5 Vegeta, and SSJ5 Gogeta. Because those are the only ones that have been bugging me since the making of B3, three years ago.

ok, im gonna make this clear and simple.
-add every teensy little fighter, dont care how small(unless they have a role less then 10 seconds. dont add them then,) from every fricking saga, movie whatever.
-Character Creator where you create, saiyans, strong humans(not like the human that attempts to shoot raditz with a gun and got killed, humans like roshi, nam, and yeah), nameks, frieza soldier(aw screw it. every single simple soldier you smart creators and think of,), and mutants(like Giran or tambourine or yeah.)
-and add online mode, and bigger arena, THAT MEANS UNLIMITED MILEAGE! if you go too far, you just rotate back to where you started
-MORE MORE MORE ATTACKS, like goku for example, in bt3 he he has two basic attacks and one super, (Basic: kamehameha, Kaioken attack, Super: spirit bomb.) in bt4, im expecting (basic: kamehameha, Kaioken attack, spirit blast, super sayain impact(like a rush attack like spirit breaking cannon or high speed rush but in the middle you turn super sayain.), super: Spirit bomb, and Exploding Kamehameha

when i said exploding kamehameha, i meant like when goku was beam struggling wish vegeta in the series and he let it all out and exploded causing vegeta to go up flying, thats what i meant by exploding kamehameha

oh! and i good name for gohan ss2’s new attack(if he has one in bt4) is super saiyan rage, its like when he does a fancy edited high speed rush ending with a super kamehameha in the end)

i would like the graphics better… very better!!! i think if they gonna create such game on PS3 and X-Box 360 this is gonna rock everything that is:razz: oh and also want characters Vegeta goku jr. Ohh and the ability for the player to use fusion dance or potara rings on every character. think about, Mr. Satan fuses with vegeta for ex.?? That would be cool to watch:razz:
