Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 might feature a character creator

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is already talked about by the game’s creators. They mention always listening to fan comments and admit that was the reason why they added online multiplayer on Wii and many more characters in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 after Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on PS2 and Wii. One of the features still missing is a character creator, but that might change in 2008.

To quote Atari producer Donny Clay: “Unfortunately there are some things that are requested by several different fans that we aren’t able to do just yet. For example, one of things we get asked for quite a bit is a completely custom character system from the ground up. Meaning players want to be able to build their own character with their own moves and their own look. This is definitely something I would love to do as well, we just haven’t had the chance to get this into a game yet. Don’t worry though I won’t forget.”

That should come as no surprise since the upcoming Dragon Ball Online MMO game also features a character creator tool that allows you to make your own Saiyan, Human or Namek.

In recent interviews the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 team mentions working on a next-gen game and being a fan of the Xbox 360, so my guess would be that the next DBZ game is coming to not just Wii and PS2, but also Xbox 360 and PS3. Makes sense for them to want to make the graphics look even better and have more online features. Throw in the character creator on top of even more than the 161 characters in the last game and you’ve got yourself Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.

As the official DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi blog says: “When we’re coming up with a new DBZ game, we first think about what the fans on the forums and message boards have been asking about.” So what do you want in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4?

PS: There’s also a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai “Burst Limit” game in development for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Update May 19th, 2009: After 1.5 years of waiting, the first magazine announcement of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 has been revealed in Japan, where the next Tenkaichi game for Xbox 360 and PS3 is titled Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast!

i think they should add more dbgt char because there insnt much and like the 7 dragons and baby in his normal form and goten when hes older.

the thing i found ridiculous about the last two games is that ist to easy to dodge blast wave all you have to do is nudge the right analog slightly which can be annoying when you charge up for an attack just to have them move slightly to the left then your stuck finishing off your attack leaving you wide open it should b like in v show where your blast is to big to dodge also e.g. if you play as vegeta and use final flash on cell and it misses but hes still stood next to where the beams hitting he shoul still get damage from being caught in the explosion

p.s. i agree with the comment on being able to do something when your opponent transforms instead of being made to just sit and watch

Or When you are lock on to you opponent, and you do a move, the game should go in Slow Motion or something like that

well I’d like to see the moves explode like that Kamehameha X10 Goku sent at Super 17 that Super 17 absorbed. If moves were like that it would make it a whole lot harder to dodge + it would make it more fun to have to find a way to actually dodge that thing!

i am the greatest fighter in any of these games there have been only 1 person to beat ever and his presence is no longer a factor…if you think you are the TRUELY GREAT then prove yourself against me..KAL EL UCHIHA…be warned many have tried before you and all, I MEAN ALL, have fallen.. i will make my appearance in a few weeks so train hard because even tho im a very nice guy, i will take no prisoners and show no mercy…see on-line……
