Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 might feature a character creator

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is already talked about by the game’s creators. They mention always listening to fan comments and admit that was the reason why they added online multiplayer on Wii and many more characters in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 after Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on PS2 and Wii. One of the features still missing is a character creator, but that might change in 2008.

To quote Atari producer Donny Clay: “Unfortunately there are some things that are requested by several different fans that we aren’t able to do just yet. For example, one of things we get asked for quite a bit is a completely custom character system from the ground up. Meaning players want to be able to build their own character with their own moves and their own look. This is definitely something I would love to do as well, we just haven’t had the chance to get this into a game yet. Don’t worry though I won’t forget.”

That should come as no surprise since the upcoming Dragon Ball Online MMO game also features a character creator tool that allows you to make your own Saiyan, Human or Namek.

In recent interviews the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 team mentions working on a next-gen game and being a fan of the Xbox 360, so my guess would be that the next DBZ game is coming to not just Wii and PS2, but also Xbox 360 and PS3. Makes sense for them to want to make the graphics look even better and have more online features. Throw in the character creator on top of even more than the 161 characters in the last game and you’ve got yourself Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.

As the official DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi blog says: “When we’re coming up with a new DBZ game, we first think about what the fans on the forums and message boards have been asking about.” So what do you want in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4?

PS: There’s also a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai “Burst Limit” game in development for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Update May 19th, 2009: After 1.5 years of waiting, the first magazine announcement of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 has been revealed in Japan, where the next Tenkaichi game for Xbox 360 and PS3 is titled Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast!

Super Saiyan 5 isnt real

I just want this game to have Co-Op

If there is some way that they can fit 5vs5 on one board at the same time. Ill be happy.

yo man there is no point sayin dat anymore. first of all. af di*k ent gonna learn and second thing is were keep sayin no AF but we don’t have to worry becoz we know there is going to not be no AF in any dbz game. no matter how many people will want its safe to say there will be no AF and thank god for that.
so we might as well not waste our time and be happy that all AF lover’s aka wan*ers will be very disappointed not gettin there ssj5 added to the next game.

This is the character list I spent a week typing and its every character that I can think of if you guys think Im missing a few please write them

for those of you who might have a problem with SS3 vegeta, SS4 Gohan GT and SS4 Vegito, DONT TELL ME ANYTHING I DONT CARE!!!!!, look its not like Im asking for a super saiyan transformation that wasn’t ever made. Its just an idea, If they dont like it they dont have to put it in.

If there is going to be a “What If Saga” then I wanna see possibilities, I wanna see things that didn’t happen but could have happened or might have happened

What If Goku and Vegeta stayed fused as Vegito
What If Goku and Vegeta used pataro instead of the normal fusion and they went super saiyan 4
What If Vegeta went SS3 because of the anger he felt when he saw goku go ss3
What If Gohan GT Decided to let bulma use the blutz wave machine on him to help goku and vegeta
What If Gotenks could go super saiyan 2 but they didn’t show anyone
What If Future Trunks went super saiyan 2 to defeat the androids and cell in the future, maybe he didn’t show it because he knew how it would make his dad feel, but in the future hiis dad is died so it wouldn’t matter
What If Goten GT and Trunks GT both went super saiyan 2 to trt and over power baby when he tryed to take over their body

“POSSIBILITIES”

Moving on the Dragon History needs to be much much longer

And the when it comes to building up your characters I liked in the last game that you were aloud to have 3 customs but I didn’t like that you 7 ability slot, I liked in Tenkaichi 2 when you could just have 7 slots
Please in this one have 3 customs and 7 slots in each and please have an item that takes up all 7 slots and it makes everything MAX

I also think if atari wanted it, they would have done it long ago.

what if characters are all well n fine but they were jus made for jokes n i don’t atari wnt to do that. and what if’s such as ss4 vegito and stuff are not going to happen coz they are too big. what if’s like gokule, tirncha and cell with krillin were there for jokes as they are funny what if’s and fusions.

also u can have what if story lines without what if characters. dat what tenkaichi series and even burst limits did. coz when i playd rwnd a friends the was a bardock what if.

Yea I agree on that part since they were in past games

But people have been saying

“put ss3 vegeta”
“Let goku and Gohan Fuse instead of goku and vegeta”

“Let Bardock and Nappa and Raditz go Super Saiyan”

Ever since they started making “what if sagas” in Budokai 1

If its not there now I dont think there will

Not saying that Goku+Gohan fusion is bad, I just dont think it will ever happen
