Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 might feature a character creator

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is already talked about by the game’s creators. They mention always listening to fan comments and admit that was the reason why they added online multiplayer on Wii and many more characters in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 after Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on PS2 and Wii. One of the features still missing is a character creator, but that might change in 2008.

To quote Atari producer Donny Clay: “Unfortunately there are some things that are requested by several different fans that we aren’t able to do just yet. For example, one of things we get asked for quite a bit is a completely custom character system from the ground up. Meaning players want to be able to build their own character with their own moves and their own look. This is definitely something I would love to do as well, we just haven’t had the chance to get this into a game yet. Don’t worry though I won’t forget.”

That should come as no surprise since the upcoming Dragon Ball Online MMO game also features a character creator tool that allows you to make your own Saiyan, Human or Namek.

In recent interviews the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 team mentions working on a next-gen game and being a fan of the Xbox 360, so my guess would be that the next DBZ game is coming to not just Wii and PS2, but also Xbox 360 and PS3. Makes sense for them to want to make the graphics look even better and have more online features. Throw in the character creator on top of even more than the 161 characters in the last game and you’ve got yourself Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.

As the official DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi blog says: “When we’re coming up with a new DBZ game, we first think about what the fans on the forums and message boards have been asking about.” So what do you want in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4?

PS: There’s also a Dragon Ball Z: Budokai “Burst Limit” game in development for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Update May 19th, 2009: After 1.5 years of waiting, the first magazine announcement of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 has been revealed in Japan, where the next Tenkaichi game for Xbox 360 and PS3 is titled Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast!

It would be really cool in Story mode to fly and find dragon balls with dragon radar or scouter or black star dragon balls with those sayan capsules,you know to fly from planet to planet.And characters should be able to train in those ships like Goku did right before he reaches Namek in Frieza saga

When you make this game please please please put in Character creation mode i am Dbz’s number 1 dbz fan please put in the game where if you keep matching each other blow for blow you both keep teleporting all over the place destroying anything in sight and when it gets really intense you both form in to a huge enery surging ball and take the assult out from there and also make it to where you can control where your energy blasts goes sure it may be difficult for me to but no one can beat me in tenkaichi 2 or 3 exept the creator of the game of course back to the matter at hand i really hope you put this in the game to wear every extremly hard hit you land on you opponent makes them bleed more and more I thank you for your time and i really really expedisiosly hope you consider my proposition

in the new dbz 4 you should be abel to mix charecters and make charecters the way people like them also new moves and create moves mix moves and make there names and colours it should also incloud free roming.like dragonball z budokai tenkaichi 2-you can fly from town to town and also land where you whant.there should be a biger battle zone and more areas new charecters and new super sayan level like(5,6,7,8,9,10)and more.if you gays create a bdz game like it says here it would be the best one ever created and it should be on Wii , PS2 , PS3 , Xbox 360 and PC.
