Sega making Valkyrie of the Battlefield: Gallian Chronicles, an anime-styled strategy-RPG, for PS3
Valkyrie of the Battlefield: Gallian Chronicles is an original franchise from Sega exclusively for the PlayStation 3 from key members of the Sakura Taisen, Skies of Arcadia and Shinobi development staff.
Valkyrie of the Battlefield combines action, strategy and RPG elements. The focus of the game is on drama and visual style, with a new graphical technique called “Canvas” that gives the visuals the look of a water color painting or as some would call it a cel-shaded anime-like art style. The game will be released in Japan in spring 2008, with a Western release date still unannounced.
