Super Smash Bros. Brawl has a level editor! And not only can you create your own levels, but you can share them with friends via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection as well as submit them to Nintendo, where they will be posting the best levels for other users to download once a day into their game! This news is very, very cool and has just made my day! I can’t freakin’ wait to try it out. 😀
Here’s the rundown on how this easy to use level editor will work:
You can start creating your own levels by selecting the stage size, background pattern and music (anything you have unlocked). You then choose parts from the palette available via the sidebar and place them onto the field.
The objects you place to create the level layout can then be flipped from left to right, rotated, shrunk or grown, swapped, erased or you can zoom in and out to get a better view. The site also says “among other things” . . . Hmm, wonder what else you could do?
Once you have the level the way you want, then try it out and see how it plays! If you don’t like it you can go back in and edit again until it’s just perfect! Once you’re done, you can choose a name and comment and then get ready to share your creation!
If you have registered someone as both a Wii Friend and a Smash Bros. Brawl friend, then you can send custom stages to each other! And what’s even cooler? You don’t have to worry about space because the level editor is compatible with SD Cards, meaning you can customize till your heart is content.
And as mentioned above, you can even send your stages to Nintendo! But here is where the magic happens! Nintendo will select new stages to be sent from the collection they get from other users, to every Wii user that has the game once a day! This means that even if you aren’t great at making levels, you will still be able to have an endless stream of new stages! To keep you playing . . . . FOREVER! 
The kicker though, is that these new stages will vanish once the day ends (they better have a Greatest Hits list eventually!), so if you don’t come back everyday to check out the new stages, then you will miss out! Still, can you imagine five years of daily Super Smash Bros. Brawl level updates?!
And that’s not all, not only will this sharing and Nintendo downloading feature work with your various level creations, but also with the Snapshot mode! So your best pics can be displayed and shared for all the world to see!
I swear . . . how on earth can this game get any better! 😆
