Myspace to create game channel allowing for embed of casual games on profiles
As everyone knows, gaming today, whether it’s in hardcore or particularly casual form, is big business. And now myspace is set to enter the casual games business . . . at least in one way. The giant News Corp.-owned social networking phenomenon has entered into a deal with Oberon Media to create a new “gaming” channel on their site.
This will allow users to select from hundreds of casual games which can then be added to their myspace profiles. Just another thing to ensure that myspace users never leave the site! These five-minute distractions will appeal to myspace users of all ages and even allow them to test their wits against other online players.
The “Myspace Games” channel will launch sometime in 2008. — Via Kotaku
