No MGS4 PS3 demo, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus release date is November 13th
In what will surely be a huge knock to the head of all Metal Gear fans and Playstation 3 owners, it was revealed via the latest Kojima Productions podcast that Konami has no plans to release any kind of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots demo before it’s launch next year!
The podcast host, Ryan Payton exclaimed, “I can tell you, as of right now, we don’t have any plans of uploading this demo on the PlayStation Store,” also adding, “And definitely no plans of uploading on the Playstation Network next week.” Also heard was the statement, “The E for All is going to be your one chance to actually play it [the demo] prior to iMGS4 launching next year.” Booooo, I say! Why no demo for one of the most anticipated games of all time? Is this a joke? Let’s hope so, cause this is definitely a bad move on their part in my opinion and I see no reason for them to leave us hanging for a year without a demo.
However there is a sliver of good news for PSP owners, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops+ (Plus) has a planned release date of November 13th. Plus is an expansion pack for the online portion of MGS: Portable Ops with new characters, stages and an all-new single player mode called “Infinity Mission”.
