Aside from Bionic Commando, at Capcom’s Gamers Day in London this week another new game announcement was made: Commando 3 will be released on Xbox Live Arcade (Xbox 360) and PlayStation Network (PS3) in winter 2007. The game will be priced at 800 Microsoft Points (that’s US$10 / €9.60 / £6.80 / CAN$12.40 / AU$13.20) on Xbox Live Arcade and similarly $9.99 on PlayStation Network.
The Backbone Emeryville developed game Commando 3 is a follow-up to the ’80s shoot-’em-up originals, and allows up to three players to join in on the action, as well as online leaderboards.
You’ll get to take on the varied roles of the game’s diverse playable characters - Animal, a former marine, Smoke, a female covert-op, and Boomer, an explosive-loving grump - and deploy power-ups like “deadly M-Crash superbombs”, with controllable co-op vehicles to master and an adjustable difficulty level in case you’re pants. — Via Eurogamer
