Ceramic White colored PS3 and DualShock 3 controller out in Japan this year

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) announced they’ll launch a new PlayStation 3 (PS3) model (without PS2 titles playability) in Japan on November 11th 2007 at a recommended retail price of 39,980 Yen ($340/€239). The new PS3 is equipped with a 40GB hard disk drive (HDD) and comes in two color variations: the “Clear Black” and the new “Ceramic White”.

The DualShock 3 Wireless Controller, which was revealed at Tokyo Game Show, will become available in the Japanese market on November 11th 2007 in two colors of “Black” and “Ceramic White” at a recommended retail price of 5,500 Yen (that’s $47/€33). The rest of the world will be getting these color/rumble options in the spring of 2008.

So it’s a new white PS3 model, but it doesn’t include the new rumble controllers? Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, especially since soon Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction will support rumble right away at release.
