Sonic Versus Mario in Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii screenshot) Warning! Challenger Approaching! Sonic the Hedgehog has been officially confirmed as a playable character in Super Smash Bros Brawl by Nintendo at a press conference in Japan. As the series director Masahiro Sakurai says it: “The one whose Smash appearance has been most desired dashes in from far away at supersonic speed. Sonic the Hedgehog crashes headlong into battle!” For all the fans who’ve been talking about Sonic in Smash Bros Brawl the past year this is the best news ever. YES! This will be legendary with him going Super Sonic, probably as his Final Smash move.

Sonic is his name, speed is his game!

WHO WILL WIN? SONIC OR MARIO?

The Nintendo Fall Press Conference 2007 trailer for Super Smash Bros Brawl on Wii. Has the entire Brawl gang been assembled, or are there even more surprises in store for one of Nintendo’s most anticipated titles?

The fighting game’s release date in America has been delayed until February 10th, 2008.

Sonic is IN! HALLELUJAH!

Is anyone actually surprised at this news? I’m not surprised, but what I am is relieved. Because this is Nintendo, a little part of me wondered if they may screw up and NOT actually include Sonic. So the fact that he is officially confirmed is a huge relief and some of the most awesome news ever!

Now let’s all hope that they also included Knuckles and Tails . . . Please Nintendo,step it up to make this game the TRUE clash of the titans!

I almost think that should be a new subtitle for Brawl: “Clash of the Titans”

I’m surprised that they confirmed Sonic so Early. I thought they would have waited till at least Mid-November Maybe they were afraid that some fans would eventually lose interested going into November and then forget about it in December. Oh Well lets hope they don’t stop there. Rumour has it that Brawl was going to have 2 OR THREE third party characters. If they had a third who should it be?
1)Pac-Man, since he is barely staying alive by having some games on the NGC
2)Megaman(he would be a third party character right? I never played any megaman games so i don’t know)
3)Cloud Strife from FFVII,
4)Sora from Kingdom Hearts Though I’m not sure about a character that appeared with Disney characters but how people you know use a giant key as their weapon,
5)Commander Cheif from Hal…Ok nevermind Microsoft will never let him join the Brawl, but it would be kinda kool. I’m sure many gamers would want to see who would win between Samus and Commander Cheif!!
As for Nintendo characters
Banjo Kazooji would be sweet
Ridley would be sweeter
Scizor would be sweetest
