When Nintendo revealed the Wii Zapper, which they showed off with games like Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, it was said that the game would most likely be released with an unannounced/unseen pack-in game. Due to the nature of the Wii Zapper, most people speculated that it would probably be a revival of Duck Hunt . . .
Oh how we were wrong. According to various sources, Nintendo has pulled the wraps off the Wii Zapper pack-in game, and that game is . . . Zelda Crossbow Training! I know what your thinking, something like, “Ok . . . .” Sounds weird yes, and apparently it is a light-gun inspired Zelda game (that apparently revolves around Link’s bow and arrow), which sounds strange . . . but hey, it could work. This also would be the first purely mini-game Zelda title if released, that is, assuming it is a series of mini-games and not a full-fledged title, which is what I assume (and no Four Swords doesn’t count as a purely mini-game title).
According to a source who was at the unveiling and saw the game first-hand, “The game looked beautiful. I’m pretty sure it was running on the Twilight Princess engine. It’s a third-person game, and you had some control over Link. While the video was way too short to get a good idea of the gameplay, it looks like a light-gun inspired Zelda title.”
The Wii Zapper will come packed in with Zelda Crossbow Training and will cost $19.99. — Via Opposable Thumbs
