PSP Slim and Lite release date September 10th 2007. Features video shows all

In North America and Europe, the PSP Slim and Lite versions Ice Silver PSP Daxter Pack at $199.99 and Piano Black Core Pack at $169.99 have a release date on September 10th, 2007. The Star Wars Ceramic White Pack at $199.99 will be arriving a little later on October 9th, 2007.

The new hardware features are:
* Better Wi-Fi connection.
* Faster loading times by storing UMD data in temporary memory.
* Internal memory (RAM) increase from 32 MB to 64 MB.
* Improved battery life due to lower power consumption, and battery recharge over the USB data connection. However the old, higher-capacity PSP battery will still be compatible and using it will give an increased battery life, but the battery cover will not close when using the old battery due to the larger size.
* Weight has been reduced by 33%.
* Unit is 19% narrower (slimmer) in thickness.
* A video-out port for displaying on a TV (TV-out cable not included).
* Improved responsiveness of d-pad and buttons.
* WiFi switch moved to the top of the console.
* New UMD loading tray design.
* Removal of the infra-red port.
* Speakers repositioned on the front of the PSP near the top of the screen.
* Memory Stick slot has been relocated.

Extinction

Not very dramatic? I’m sorry but TV out is huge. This is the ONLY portable ever to get upgraded with it. And this is the only portable to get added RAM. It now has 4 MB more than the original XBOX.

I’m buying one for TV out alone.

I know, I think the guy looks at the PSP as a portable only for on-the-go playing.

Wait… which version of the PSP2K is coming with a movie? DO YOU GET A 2 FOR 1 DEAL? MOVIE AND GAME?! Or just movie or game.

Still, what a ripoff with the Starwars one… the Daxter one has it all and more.

I just wish they would change Daxter and silver PSP for the White FF VII branded PSP and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

THAT WOULD BE PEEEERFECT! Still, if I should be pressed in between a rock and a hard place… I´m goñing for the Daxter version. ALthough I´ve never played Daxter… a game is a game.

Cheapper??? I dont know whats this guy thinking! The idea of a portable system is exactly that its weight and size are as low as possible, if not we all would be walking arround with a 3 pound cell phone in or pockets. i think is great and obviously much better than the fat one. theres no DS that can compete with this

Finally!

Wow, i have been counting down the days, and its finally here in my hands! Its awesome compared to my old psp because when i stand my psp up to listen to music its muffled, Wi-Fi connections is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better! And the dvd player in my car can be converted into a awesome backseat gaming system!
