Wet game preview for Xbox 360 & PS3 from Sierra starring kick-ass new heroine Ruby

Wet is an all new 3rd-person action game from Sierra for Xbox 360 & PS3. It stars a new gun-for-hire female character named Ruby, who will take any job: theft, assassination, protection, interrogation, bribery, etc. as long as the pay is right. She lives off the land but never goes anywhere without her signature weapons.
Wet looks to combine acrobatics (running along walls, flipping off objects, sliding down ladders, hanging from ledges, leaping up and off surfaces), gunplay and sword-play in a seamless, focused experience that completely integrates all three into every aspect of the action adventure gameplay. The game takes inspiration from both Hong Kong martial arts and Hollywood movies and thus the game is over-the-top, stylish and exaggerated. But oh so very cool.
Ruby’s arms move and aim independently for split targeting, so she is always duel-wielding (read: maximum carnage). Weapons include dual pistols, dual crossbows, dual machine guns and even . . . dual shotguns! *insert shocked smiley* All weapons can be upgraded in multiple categories as well. Additionally, Ruby has her sword (various moves offer unique kill animations requiring timed button presses), and during any acrobatic move you can use any weapon, for a myriad of possibilities, whether its shooting or slicing while wall running, sliding between two enemies and taking both out on either side with your pistols or flipping over an enemy and stabbing them in the back, Wet is sure to impress. The storyline btw was written by Duppy Demetrius, one of the writers for the hit TV show 24.
Wet does not yet have a solid release date but don’t expect it before late 2008. View the sweet “Wet Bath” trailer below as well as an interview from Leipzig Games Convention 2007that goes much more in-depth on this sure-fire future blockbuster.
