TimeSplitters 4 will parody games instead of movies

TimeSplitters 4 was announced in the Official Playstation Magazine in June 2007 for PS3, but Xbox 360 or Wii versions are likely since TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters 3: Future Perfect were both multi-platform games.

TimeSplitters 4 will run on a heavily modified Haze Engine and has jokingly been given a 2009 release date by its developer. Talking to Free Radical’s script writer, Rob Yescombe was quoted as saying: “In the past Timesplitters has been very satirical at the expense of movies, this time it will be satirical at the expense of video games.”

The current logo for the game is a spoof of the Gears of War logo with a monkey head replacing the skull. There was also some concept art for a monkey in Master Chief’s armor.

The time splitters games were always fun and had great multiplayer..
and this one which will spoof games will be even more better!

Yeah we always had a ton of fun with the multiplayer modes in TimeSplitters 2. Spent many long nights playing that, looking forward to this one too

Awsome… I taught nobody had the brass cojones to paraody or somehow mess with Gears of War. I was wrong, thank goodness.

Really wanna see this games, I´ve heard it was quite un upreciated during it PS2 cycle. I bet many people have played it by now and probably must be clamoring for a new one.

Personally, I think we need more “parody” games. Although, thats just me.

What games will TS4 parody? Halo games, Psi Ops, Dead to Rights, Resident Evil games, Star Trek games, Red Faction, Red Faction 2, Silent Hill games, Hitman, Hitman 2, 007 games, Star Wars games, or something else?

i hope so very much that it will be released on ps2 by next summer. i loved future perfect so much and i have huge expectations. if anybody knows the date it will be launched on ps2 i need to know. thank you, and hi all, from sean.w

for f*ck sake man read it ps3 only y not 360? n i wud lyk it to b ps2 but its not goin 2 is it cuz it just hasnt got the capabilities to run the dam game!

oh my god! been waiting for this for about 3 years its gonna be so fricken awsome hope everyone enjoys it…ps its being released in 2009 for ps3 wii and 360.
