South Park: The Complete 10th Season comes with free World of Warcraft trial

Looks like the folks from South Park and the makers of World of Warcraft are in bed once again.

Since the Blizzard folks helped South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone create their emmy-nominated “Make Love, Not Warcraft” episode (which is the coolest episode in the whole series as far as I’m concerned) by providing the source material needed to do the in-game episode, the South Park guys are now returning the favor by offering a free 14-day trail for World of Warcraft in the upcoming Sourth Park Season 10 DVD collection.

South Park: The Complete 10th Season on DVD has a release date of August 21st.

You’re an idiot if you think that the WoW ep was the best south park episode of the season. They sold out and presented nothing at all that was controversial or political or over the top about MMOs. The entire premise of the episode was a half hour “haha gamers are fat and pimply” joke, which doesn’t even hold a candle to other South Park episodes. I’m convinced they held back because Blizzard made them, in whatever agreement they had that let them use the WoW client to create parts of the episode.

It was by far the worst episode they’ve ever done.

Khatib you are probably one of those fat pimply gamers who has nothing better to do than post bad comments about one of the funniest south park episodes ever. I loved how they were able to get blizzard to help out on this ep and now they are just returning the favor. Don’t be so butt hurt over it Khatib.

Yes, compared to the biting social commentary offered up by your standard episode of South Park, let’s instead claim the episode with one funny poop joke was the best of the season. While I may be a little chubby, as is your average WoW player and couch potato, I’m not really fat, and I must say, I have a really nice complexion. It’s cool that they got Bliz to work with them and let them use the software, but at the expense of pulling all the punches… I’d rather they had done something bigger on MMOs. And to call it the BEST EPISODE of the season is just s joke. Get out of your raid instance on Wednesday nights every now and then and actually watch the show before you go making comments like that.

Episodes this season that were EASILY more worthy of praise:

Cartoon Wars - for it’s commentary on censorship

Go God Go - the Wii episode with Richard Dawkins on evolution and religion

Episodes that were EASILY funnier than the WoW ep:

The Return of Chef, the Smug ep, Manbearpig, the Dog Whisperer ep, the Urinal Duece, Miss Teacher bangs Ike, Hell on Earth (Acura cake, lol)…

I mean seriously.. to say the WoW ep was the BEST south park ep of the season is about as fanboy as you can get for WoW. It’s just ridiculous to try and make that claim.
