Guitar Hero III new songs list, 30 out of 70 soundtracks revealed!

Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock’s lead developer Alan Flores (from Neversoft) for the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 & Wii music game has said in an interview that there will be “over 70 songs” on the final soundtrack for the game! Over half of them will be master recordings. So far 30 songs and their artists have been revealed for Guitar Hero III soundtrack by Activision.

Here’s the list including videos for each song:

1. “3’s and 7’s” by Queens of the Stone Age
2. “Barracuda” as made famous by Heart
3. “Cherub Rock” by Smashing Pumpkins
4. “Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll” as made famous by Blue Öyster Cult
5. “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour
6. “Even Flow” by Pearl Jam
7. “Knights of Cydonia” by Muse
8. “La Grange” as made famous by ZZ Top
9. “Lay Down” by Priestess
10. “The Metal” by Tenacious D
11. “Miss Murder” by AFI
12. “Mississippi Queen” as made famous by Mountain
13. “My Name Is Jonas” by Weezer
14. “The Number of the Beast” by Iron Maiden
15. “One” by Metallica
16. “Paint It, Black” by The Rolling Stones
17. “Paranoid” as made famous by Black Sabbath
18. “Raining Blood” by Slayer
19. “Reptilia” by The Strokes
20. “Rock and Roll All Nite” as made famous by Kiss
21. “Rock You Like a Hurricane” as made famous by Scorpions
22. “Sabotage” by Beastie Boys
23. “School’s Out” as made famous by Alice Cooper
24. “She Builds Quick Machines” by Velvet Revolver
25. “Slow Ride” as made famous by Foghat
26. “Suck My Kiss” by Red Hot Chili Peppers
27. “Through the Fire and Flames” by DragonForce
28. “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses

30. An original song composed and performed by Slash of Velvet Revolver

AC/DC and Led Zeppelin are also in discussion.

there definitly needs to be some hendrix on gh3, hendrix is a true guitar hero… as for green day and afi they can go blow a big f**kin c**k because what have they done for rock n roll that makes them worthy of being on gh3

i think the track list could be better but if the guitar is good for the songs then w/e ill play them all. i really wanna see KOrn Slipknot disturbed CRADLE OF FILTH yes please… that being new age tunes but for old school some of the bands that are on the list have way better songs and should be changed. like weezer let us play hash pipe or buddy holly that be fun. dont fear the reaper … ne ways thats my 10cents

i’m not a big fan of marilyn manson, but beautiful people would be a good addition, its got sick guitar solo’s. and also another rage against the machine song to make up for the bs singing on “killing in the name of” in GH2. a good rage song could be renagades of funk or sleep now in the fire.

i think they should have some more hardcore stuff like The Showdown or Norma Jean or The Chariot or even some Haste The Day or something like that that is a little harder then other stuff
