Guitar Hero III new songs list, 30 out of 70 soundtracks revealed!

Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock’s lead developer Alan Flores (from Neversoft) for the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 & Wii music game has said in an interview that there will be “over 70 songs” on the final soundtrack for the game! Over half of them will be master recordings. So far 30 songs and their artists have been revealed for Guitar Hero III soundtrack by Activision.

Here’s the list including videos for each song:

1. “3’s and 7’s” by Queens of the Stone Age
2. “Barracuda” as made famous by Heart
3. “Cherub Rock” by Smashing Pumpkins
4. “Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll” as made famous by Blue Öyster Cult
5. “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour
6. “Even Flow” by Pearl Jam
7. “Knights of Cydonia” by Muse
8. “La Grange” as made famous by ZZ Top
9. “Lay Down” by Priestess
10. “The Metal” by Tenacious D
11. “Miss Murder” by AFI
12. “Mississippi Queen” as made famous by Mountain
13. “My Name Is Jonas” by Weezer
14. “The Number of the Beast” by Iron Maiden
15. “One” by Metallica
16. “Paint It, Black” by The Rolling Stones
17. “Paranoid” as made famous by Black Sabbath
18. “Raining Blood” by Slayer
19. “Reptilia” by The Strokes
20. “Rock and Roll All Nite” as made famous by Kiss
21. “Rock You Like a Hurricane” as made famous by Scorpions
22. “Sabotage” by Beastie Boys
23. “School’s Out” as made famous by Alice Cooper
24. “She Builds Quick Machines” by Velvet Revolver
25. “Slow Ride” as made famous by Foghat
26. “Suck My Kiss” by Red Hot Chili Peppers
27. “Through the Fire and Flames” by DragonForce
28. “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses

30. An original song composed and performed by Slash of Velvet Revolver

AC/DC and Led Zeppelin are also in discussion.

there should be songs like “crazy train” or “holiday” (green day)!!!!! I sure hope there is going to be another freezepop song on the list!

I agree with 68. Those bands would kick ass. At the Gates would make my life. Opeth would be a solid addition too, along with Dream Theater, cause Petrucci is just f*cking unreal.

Hey ppl, if anyone still reads this, the reason they can’t get AC/DC and zepplin and other top names is because the owners of the rights to the songs wont sell them. I donno if that interests you at all, but yea, thats why you aren’t seeing the biggest names in rock on guitar hero right now

This is Awesome Altho i would Prefere Around The world or cant stop by the chillis purely for the guitar solos…there also rocking songs XD

Another Nirvana song would be nice cuz hes a rock legend…lol..Also ACDC And Led Zep Would be nice hope they decide to let them stick it on hehe Just Preorderd My Copy

all in all not a bad list, except for AFI. Wouldn’t mind seeing something like Times Like These by the Foo Fighters or Jimi Hendrix. Layla by Derek and the Dominos wouldn’t be bad except for the p*ssy ending

EWW, AFI sucks, barracuda? wtf ****No LED ZEPPELIN**** Led Zeppelin is the greatest and not on this game, wow terrible. They better put at least one Zeppelin song on there and AC/DC would be a great add also. But i saw the leaked set list, Devil went down to georgia for the last encore, F*ckin thats a fiddle, Terrible, aweful, so far i am pretty disappointed in Harmonix, but yet they are run by MTV, Mtv is aweful too.

F**k AFi and GreenDay. I hear there also putting “Before I Forget” by Slipknot but it should be “Pulse Of The Maggots”. But at least theres Slipknot on there. They should but Black Label Society, and “White Room” by Cream, A Killswitch Engage song, Some Pink Floyd, “Master Of Puppets” or “Justice For All”, or “Fuel” should be on there insted of “One” but it’s ok. “Stair Way To Heven” is going to be kickass and they should put “Thunderstruck” by ACDC. WELL ITS NOT BAD BUT…….i would have liked to see disturbed prolly the song hell,walk from panteraor cowboys from hell,in red’s touch of flame ,and slipknots pulse of the maggots,..but i guess i can always hope for either it to be dl content or on rock band or something
