Pre-order Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for Xbox 360Activision today confirmed that the Infinity Ward developed FPS game Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will start its Multiplayer Beta on Xbox 360 later this month, sometime in August 2007.

On the downside is that the Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer Beta test will only be open to residents of America. So gamers in Europe and elsewhere worldwide won’t get to answer to their Call of Duty.

American participants in the Beta will be helping to optimize what Activision and Infinity Ward “hope is the best multiplayer experience of the year.” Call of Duty 4′s release date on PC, Xbox 360 & PS3 in America is October 30th, with a European release on November 9th, 2007.

Let’s hope the charlieoscardelta.com beta page will update soon with details and an explanation why it’s not an international war. — Via CVG

Update August 3rd: An Infinity Ward representative said after the fan reaction about a U.S.-only Beta that the Beta details have not been finalized yet, so to kick off the Beta they will begin in America, but are looking to go International and currently sorting out those details.
