Ryu Hayabusa slashes his way to DS in Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword

Tecmo’s Team Ninja and director Tomonobu Itagaki is getting prepared to blow us away again, but this time in an unlikely place . . . on the Nintendo DS.
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, which was first revealed by Japan’s Weekly Famitsu magazine last March is Itagaki’s attempt at making the “best handheld game ever made” and what’s shown is a striking example of just what an extremely motivated team can pump out of the DS. The game looks about as close as you can get to it’s console cousins, and is by far one of the best looking DS games I’ve ever seen. The most important thing however is gameplay, and Dragon Sword certainly looks fun to me.

No solid release date yet but it’s supposedly coming in Quarter 4 of this year.
