Arkanoid DS anounced with special paddle controller for GBA slot
Arkanoid, the Breakout-clone from 1986, is getting a new Nintendo DS version. Taito announced in the latest issue of the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu that the game (Arkanoid DS screenshots scan) will include a special Arcade paddle controller called the “Battle Controller.” As you can see from the picture above the paddle comes in four colors (white, green, black, pink) to match your DS Lite’s color.
The paddle is a small controller attachment that slots into the GameBoy Advance port at the bottom of the DS. It’s such a perfect fit, it’s hard to believe this is the first time a developer thought of it. The action game has a release date in Japan on December 6th, 2007.
