Metal Gear 20th Anniversary CollectionAt the Comic-Con 2007 last weekend, Kotaku asked Konami‘s marketing VP Anthony Kraus about Konami USA bringing over the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Collection from Japan.

Mr. Kraus’ reply confirmed that they’re “considering it” with the sales team talking to retailers about potential interest in selling such a package. When asked if it would be the same collection package he said: “Very similar.”

The above shown Metal Gear collection contains: the original Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops and DVDs Metal Gear Saga and The Document of Metal Gear Solid, at a cheap price of 6250 Yen in Japan (that’s only $52! or €39!).

Now why in God’s name WOULDN’T they bring this over?! They’d have to be crazy not to! Come on Konami!

I don’t even have part 3 so I’d definitely pick the collection up to have every game in one package. A lot of people don’t have the first MGS, like my friend Lynn, so it’d help out for people that missed out on certain installments.

    Wohoo!

I would get this thing the instant its out :D

If they have only the Console versions I will be happy :D (No PSP :( )

better yet, if they also release MGS 1 on PSN it would be great :D Thats the only one I didnt play which is VERY hard to find :(
