Final Fantasy Anthology (Contains Final Fantasy V & Final Fantasy VI) for PS1Two of the biggest 16-bit titles of all time were Final Fantasy IV, which came to the U.S. as Final Fantasy III on the Super Nintendo, and Final Fantasy V. Unfortunately for us, FFV didn’t come to the US until 1999, when Square repackaged Final Fantasy V with Final Fantasy VI as “Final Fantasy Anthology” for the PS1.

While the series was already a big hit in the States and around the world, Final Fantasy didn’t explode until it’s seventh installment, so many people never got to play these older Final Fantasy’s until their re-releases came on the Playstation and later the Game Boy Advance.

In Part 3 of GameTrailer’s Final Fantasy Retrospective (Check out the Final Fantasy Retrospective Part 2 if you missed it), they take an in-depth look at the two 16 bit installments, Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy V, both for the Japanese Super Famicon.
