Splinter Cell Conviction (Xbox 360, PC) release date delayed till spring 2010

Ubisoft has announced that they have delayed the release of the latest game in their stealth-action series, Splinter Cell: Conviction, till April, 2010. The game is the latest in a long line of Xbox 360 exclusives (although it’s also scheduled for release on PC) and it aims to reinvent the Splinter Cell saga.

Original articles from 2007 & 2008: Splinter Cell Conviction has been taken “back to the drawing board” by Ubisoft Montreal reports Xbox World 360 magazine, adding that the game has now been delayed to 2009 or even as late as Spring 2010. Although it’s currently set to Q2 2009.

In the game, you once again take on the role of Sam Fisher, only this time you are a fugitive and you’re being ruthlessly hunted by the very government you once served. The key to your survival is to improvise, adapt and overcome as you wander through crowds in broad daylight!

To survive, you must build an underground network of allies who will help you obtain hi-tech gadgets and stay one step ahead of your pursuers as you struggle to unmask the forces that want you dead. Splinter Cell Conviction will deliver an adrenaline rush of game play with blood-pumping chase sequences, close combat and intense gun battles.

ubisoft can go screw themselves, hype up a game 6 years before its release date and keep delaying it. I am not buying this game no matter how good it is. Thanks a lot ubisoft

I pre-ordered this game months ago expecting its realese in Feb 09. Now Im told it wont be out till Jun or Jul 09! This is just stupid! This game shouldnt of even been spoken of untill 09.

for 1 i have not heard of this game until today, for two i have played every other splinter cell game and three if it is being delayed so long then it should be that much better of a game

hey min you think there being selfish, feb 2 is my birthday and my family preordered it cause they know how much i want the game and thats when it was scheduled to be released so know im sitting here, trying to find the current release date, this is so gay

why are you guys complaining. yeah i get your point-you want to play the game. so do i. but would you rather play a peice of crap game or an awesome, entertaining, in depth, crazy fun game? i am just as intrigued about the realeased date as you, just give it some time!

I have waited for a year for this game to come out and now i hear i have to wait for june or july i think ubisoft is just yanking our chain they built all this hype for this game watch it not come out until christmas 2010!
