First Metal Gear Solid 4 gameplay video shown by Hideo Kojima

Konami held its Metal Gear 20th anniversary party in Japan today. Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima showed Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in-game footage for the first time in public. He explains how the game works, for example when you press triangle on the PS3 controller Snake’s Octocam suit will copy every background, and the Sixaxis motion controls are used to move the Mk.II robot around, as well as a few other cool new moves…

Yeah. That was weird. Classic Kojima though. The game looks amazing. Same old stuff for the first 7 minutes or so (which isn’t bad) .. and awesome new gameplay in the last half.

Looks great.
