in-game death sceneThe music band Strata and Machinima.com have teamed up to present a user generated video contest. “The Game Over Contest” asks you to submit your “most memorable in-game death” using video from your favorite video game and one or all of four tracks from Strata’s new album Strata Presents The End Of The World, which you can download for free at the above linked contest page. You can buy a lot of games with the prize money, that’s for sure!

The contest is open to any legal resident, of 18 years or older, in the United States (and the District of Columbia). Winners will be announced on September 5th. The prizes are:

* 1st place: a gift card or cash prize in the amount of $1,000.
* 2nd place: a gift card or cash prize in the amount of $350.
* 3rd place: a gift card or cash prize in the amount of $150. — Thanks to Oren for the tip.
