Everyday Shooter coming to PS3 as download in 2007. New trailer and creator interview

Everyday Shooter was the big winner of this year’s 7th Independent Games Festival and is described by its creators at Queasy Games as “an album of games exploring the expressive power of abstract shooters. Dissolute sounds of destruction are replaced with guitar riffs harmonizing over an all-guitar soundtrack, while modulating shapes celebrate the flowing beauty of geometry.”

If that sounded vague, a better way of putting it would be to say it’s Rez mixed together with Geometry Wars running at 1080p and 60 frames per second, as seen in the new trailer.

Here’s a video interview with the creator Jonathan Mak:

The downloadable PS3 shooter game will be coming to the PlayStation Network sometime in 2007. There was also a GameTap distribution deals announced earlier this year to bring the game to Windows PCs, but no release date given for that either.
