Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus expansion pack announced for PSP

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops for PSPKonami today announced Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus for PSP. The expansion pack for the Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops stealth-action game will be sold as both a standalone product and bundled together with the original across Japan on September 20th, 2007. No release dates for other regions were announced, but the first trailer was released online in English suggesting a worldwide release of the pack.

New features include:

* New Multiplayer Maps.
* New Unlockable Characters, including Raiden, a female Ocelot, and Roy Campbell.
* New Multiplayer modes.
* New Single Player mode, called Infinity Mode. New missions and enemy types.
* Metal Gear Solid 4 old Snake playable.

This update is aimed mostly at the Japanese and Americans, since Europe already got a little more extra content in their MGS POPS release. Watch the debut trailer:

r they gonna actually bring this out for the europeon version if so any one gotta date?

All that’s know is that a worldwide release is suggested by Konami. When release dates outside of Japan are announced the blog will be updated.

Since this is an expansion pack, can you import charecters between the two games?

Joe, it sounds like the two games are split up. Japan got 2 versions: the stand-alone expansion and a deluxe package that includes the original game and the expansion.
