The Force Unleashed, release date is 2008, new trailer shows the power of The Force and physics

The next generation of Star Wars games has finally been revealed! Check out this awesome new gameplay trailer for The Force Unleashed, which is coming in the second quarter of 2008 from LucasArts.

It looks amazing. I can’t wait to pick up the controller and do some damage with The Force. Thankfully physics are fully employed and the effect is amazing. The game will be coming to the PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP and DS. No word on what the other versions look like though. I definitely doubt that they will look anything like this.

It also sounds like this game is going to have a great storyline. Hopefully GTA4, Assassin’s Creed, Halo 3 and Rock Band will bide my time until it’s release.

Sounds like it, especially with them calling this “the next episode”. I’m still baffled that they managed to make the game look like the CGI teaser from a year ago!
