A brand new trailer for Resident Evil 5 was shown off at the Microsoft E3 2007 press conference and it was definitely one of the biggest surprises of the conference, even though the trailer itself is short, just a teaser, and not much can be gleamed from it. It’s even hard to tell if what is being shown is cinematic, CG, or actual gameplay.
The same sun-drenched town that was shown in the original 2006 trailer was again showcased here, as well as the apparent leading male character, which may or may not be Chris Redfield (let’s hope so). The trailer shows that the villagers, in what could be an African town of some sort, are apparently effected with something, as they get all crazed and “zombified” for a lack of a better word, and seem aggressive. Watch the teaser yourself and see what else you discover from this all-too-short Resident Evil 5 trailer. The game is coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2008, as this was the only game presented that’s not coming this year.
