The official Super Smash Bros Brawl website continues to receive weekday updates from the game’s director Masahiro Sakurai. Today he mentions that when it comes to controllers, there are pretty much four different types. That’s right, four different control types will be implemented in the Wii fighting game, using either the Wii, GameCube or Classic controller. To quote:
“There’s no need to be confused about what does what — just choose the play style you prefer! I suppose I would recommend the Nintendo GameCube controller, though. I like the feel of that powerful rumble. Still, try out the other controls — they definitely give you a fresh experience.”
He hints at the Wiimote-only setup having motion sensor controls by saying “Hmm? How do you do smashes and dashes with just the Wii Remote?” The answer is for later.
im choosing gamecube control, its easiest
I kind of got used to the Wiimote & Nunchuk combo. So unless the Wiimote-only motion controls are really fun, I’ll probably end up trying them all. I have all controllers anyway.
PS: I wish Nintendo would release a Wavebird 2 wireless controller with rumble for the occasion, because a lot of people will stick with the Melee controls I reckon.
I will definitly be tryin out all the controlles.I think ill choose the Wii-mote and Nunchuk or the Classic Controller.Unless i really miss the rumble.
BTW forgot to mention….Thanks Nintendo for FINALLY releasing great info!I couldnt help but wonder how we would play Smash! Now all we need is a new trailer and release date….
yeah, but the only problem is they sometimes add dumb stuff like how to recover. everyone knows how to do that. i wish theyd just hurry up and add new characters
Look at the bright side Connor, at this rate we’ll get 100 more updates before the game’s released. There must be a lot they haven’t told us.
true, and they still havent made a release date so well be gettin probably ALOT more than 100 updates by the time it comes out. and yeah theres alot theyll tell us about later, its just that sometimes i get really impatient. thanks for the optimism.
