Location-based PC game Plundr jumps ship to DS

The first location-based PC game is Plundr, which you can play for free on creator area/code’s website. Using state-of-the-art Wi-Fi Positioning System technologies (WPS), the game locates the user’s computer in physical space and uses their location as part of the game.
The developers showed off an upcoming DS version at the Where 2.0 conference 2007 last week. The event is for leading edge developers who are building location aware technology, and for them to mix with businesses and entrepreneurs. So who knows, this might go form freeware to DS game.
The game itself is a pirate adventure, in which players move from island to island to buy, sell and fight for goods. Depending on where you are in the physical world, you’ll find different islands, different market prices and different ships to fight. — More DS screenshots at Flickr, via Joystiq.
