All four Metal Gear Solid games getting re-releases in Japan

To celebrate Metal Gear’s 20th anniversary, Konami will re-release all four main entries in the series from Metal Gear Solid.

Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu shows a chart that lists the following portable and console games:
* Metal Gear Solid on PlayStation (for 1500 yen or $12.35)
* Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty on PS2, (for 1800 yen or $14.82)
* Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater on PS2 (for 2800 yen or $23.05)
* Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops on PSP (for 2800 yen or $23.05)

Konami will also release a bundle with all four games this year on July 26th in Japan for 6900 yen or $56.80, translates 1UP. Of course what we want to see is Konami releasing this bundle worldwide!

By the way, have you noticed that when you go to the Metal Gear series page on Konami Japan that the release date for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on PS3 actually reads “Coming 2007″? They really need to update their website, because the game’s on a media blackout (until the new E3?) and seems to be headed for a 2008 release.

Well excuuuuuuuuuuse me princess Reetesh! Actually, I didn’t know the release date until I started digging and just found out it’s July 26th 2007 in Japan.

PS: If you look at any news here, you should know we always include release dates unless they aren’t known. In this case it was hard to find it in a translation of the Japanese news.

The thing is that. its about the 20th anniversary so that thing should be mentioned.

Well, if next time there is a missing date.. I wont ask.. I will rather search for it myself and post it here.

only I asked about the date.. but obviously many others who saw the new were wondering when the 20th anniversary actually is.
