Guitar Hero 3 initial 11 songs and guitar details revealed

Activision has announced Guitar Hero 3 will be coming to PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii in fall 2007. For the first time there are worldwide online multiplayer modes and new multiplayer action-inspired battle mode, grueling boss battles, unlockable content, and authentic rock venues.

The PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii versions each come with a new wireless exclusive Gibson guitar Les Paul model that will include a removable faceplates allowing you to later personalize your guitar, and a new button color design that will be integrated for an even greater authentic feel and rock experience. The PS2 version also gets a new exclusive shape, the classic Kramer guitar, also a Gibson brand.

The initial list of 11 face-melting songs include:

* Cherub Rock (by Smashing Pumpkins)
* Sabotage (by Beastie Boys)
* The Metal (by Tenacious D)
* My Name is Jonas (by Weezer)
* Knights of Cydonia (by Muse)
* Rock And Roll All Nite (as made famous by Kiss)
* School’s Out (as made famous by Alice Cooper)
* Slow Ride (as made famous by Fog Hat)
* Cult of Personality (by Living Colour)
* Barracuda (as made famous by Heart)

……Whats up with all this old school rock(well, not all but most).
What do we really want?
We want modern Metal! Disturbed, Korn, System of A Down, Godsmack, Metalica, Static-X, Mudvayne and many more….

Though, most of the songs in that list aren’t half bad.

Old school all the way…I swear if there is ever a freaking Korn, Disturbed, or Mudvayne song on a Guitar Hero I’ll never play it again.

I would really like ACDC in either GH3 or GH encore rock the 80’s. if not, it would be four games with out ACDC, a very great band. shame on redoctane.

I dont know much of these songs except KISS thats a good song but yea to the ac/dc they rock. the guitar heros r awesome like the one 4 the 360 I love it good song selection except the store tracks that metal is horrable. But throw some HINDER like room 21 or get stoned MOTLEY CRUE same ol situation or home sweet home for an encore AEROSMITH dude looks like a lady would be fun or sweet emotion or walk this way hey even JIMI HENDRIX some voodo child would be an awesome last encore and another BUCKETHEAD song and add a create a rocker and have some kool guitar that we have 2 use like a double neck to go with a les paul
