A look inside the Gran Turismo 5 cars

A reporter from French TV channel M6 visits game developer Polyphony Digital to interview the creator of the Gran Turismo series, Kazunori Yamauchi. The new Gran Turismo 5 info that was unveiled includes that the upcoming PlayStation 3 racing game will have a car interior camera, and as such they are spending a lot of time modeling the car’s interiors (2:30 minutes in the video), everything from the wheel, dashboard, and speedometers is digitally reproduced. Makes you wonder how many cars are going to be in number 5 as Gran Turismo 4 already had over 700 vehicles! That’s a lot of work they are putting in the game on top of making it run at 60FPS with 1080p output and a new online mode.
