Sony releasing 80GB PS3 model only in Korea on June 16 2007

Sony PlayStation 3PlayStation 3′s in Korea will be released on June 16th, 2007. Sony’s official site for the region listed the hardware specifications, one part really stood out: “Hard Disk – 2.5″ Serial ATA – 80GB”

It seems after the PS3 model with 20GB hard disk production was stopped, the PS3 model with 60GB is getting an upgrade to 80GB starting in South Korea. It seems likely this upgraded PS3 model will be rolled out worldwide country by country, but unfortunately Sony told Engadget that there are (currently?) no plans to sell the 80GB PS3 internationally.

    only in Korea? :(
But how much will it be priced?

Prices for the PS3 are different per country, but I believe it comes down to $550 in Korea for the 80GB version, for them that must be the same price as the 60GB version.

that Seems like a Good price. Too bad the BD regions for Korea and India are different or else I would have gotten one from there :P

But its same for Korea japan and US so people in these regions can get one if they want (as games are all region free)

But…. on second thought any 2.5″ drive will fit so we can make it any size we want :P
